Model-independent reconstruction of f(Q) non-metric gravity

We consider gravity mediated by non-metricity, with vanishing curvature and torsion. The gravitational action, including an arbitrary function of the non-metric scalar, is investigated in view characterizing dark energy effects. In particular, we present a method to reconstruct $f(Q)$ action without resorting \emph{a priori} assumptions on cosmological model. To this purpose, adopt based rational Pad\'e approximations, which provides stable behaviour cosmographic series at high redshifts, alleviating convergence issues proper standard approach. thus describe how through numerical inversion procedure current observational bounds parameters. Our analysis suggests that best approximation for describing accelerated expansion universe represented scenario $f(Q)=\alpha+\beta Q^{n}$. Finally, possible deviations from $\Lambda$CDM model are discussed.
